Creating and maintaining defensible space requires reducing fuel that grows seasonally and accumulates on the landscape over time. While a Fire Strong Design depends on a holistic approach, fuel reduction is a great place to start because it addresses the threat of radiant heat ignition and creates the foundation for our other strategies to perform.
